The work that Stellos did on the Nashua YMCA facility added 40,000-square-foot to its current building. This project was opened in May of 2012 and included things such as a large swimming pool, that has both a family fun section and six-lane section for competitive swimming.
Another cool addition to this pool was the concept that the water will now be purified in part by ultraviolet radiation which reduces the amount of chlorine by 2/3rds! To help save energy the facility will be heated by large solar-insulated skylights that Stellos installed, and an energy management with motion sensor lights system will assure the efficient and proper use of energy.
